MTV hits a new low

I know what you are thinking, how can MTV get any lower? Perusing the net, I came across several articles on this new show. Straight from the offical website, here is a brief plot synopsis:
"With an all-star cast, Popetown takes you into the side-splittingly surreal world of the Vatican as the long suffering and good-hearted Father Nicholas struggles to walk the narrow path of righteousness, whilst surrounded by money grabbing cardinals and a pogo-stick-riding infantile pope."
So why is it that television broadcasters are so willing to mock Christianity, but cringe in horror from saying anything negative about other world religions? I would almost consider boycotting MTV, if it weren't for the fact that I already don't watch their "classy" programming. Whatever happened to music videos? Oh yeah, you have to get MTV2 for those.

Robot Urban Assault Vehicles

How many of us loved the movie Stripes? When I first read this article, I thought about Bill Murray stealing a robotic UAV to impress the girls. Just think, we could soon get a movie that's a cross between Stripes and Wargames. My only question is, who gets the girl, Ferris Bueller, or the Ghostbuster? So who wants to get together and see if we can build ourselves a robotic driving system? I bet we could get METRO to fund it so we could get a World Class Robotic Bus System.

First Post

OK, so thanks to Rightwingsparkle shaming me at the last LST Brewhaha, I have decided to start my own blog. So maybe I should give my dear readers a quick snapshot of who I am. Currently I work as a Sys Admin for a local Credit Union. Previous to that I worked as a Comp Sci/Math teacher for a magnet high school. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Mathematics. I worked my way through college as a pharmacy tech for Kroger's. I have a wide range of interests from Sci Fi and tech, to religion and politics.
